FAQs

Is this really free for me as a CEC member?

Yes. Your teacher account is provided at no additional cost as part of your CEC teacher membership. The value of this toolkit works out to $1950 per teacher.

How many students can I add?

You can add up to 25 students per teacher per school year in your TET account.

Can I share students or rosters with other teachers at my school?

No. This is a teacher-only account. Rosters cannot be shared across accounts. For collaborative use, your LEA or school would need to upgrade to a paid school/district license. You may do this by contacting Let's Go Learn directly.

Who powers the technology?

The platform is powered by Let’s Go Learn, a CASE-endorsed provider of diagnostic assessments and instructional tools, and is delivered as a CEC-branded solution.

Is my students’ data secure?

Yes. Student data is handled under strict privacy and security standards and is used only for educational purposes within the platform, in accordance with applicable laws and CEC’s policies.

I am a pre-service professor or involved in teacher education. Can I use this account?

Yes and No.  Any pre-service or teacher-ed professor can get a free district-level account that is more suited for your role. It allows you to act as a district and have multiple teachers, add students for intervention, and more. In addition, you’ll get an account that has de-identified real student data for practice in examining assessment data with your student-teachers. Visit this link to get started.

Can I access LCE 2.0 from this account?

Yes. But LCE is not included. Teacher licensing is available via a paid license. However, if your school or district is paying for LCE and using it for multiple teachers, we do not recommend co-mingling your free CEC account with your school LCE account. If you have questions, please contact our Customer Service, or learn more at this form.

We already use Let’s Go Learn at my organization. Should I use this version instead?

No, if you already have LGL at your school or district, you would want to use that version since it is not limited. The CEC TET accounts are made to empower teachers who are working individually. We can offer this for free because of this limit which truly has a $1950 value if it were purchased in volume for 25 students for one teacher.

Does This Toolkit Meet Data Privacy Agreements?

Yes, there are three ways to meet data privacy.  But first as a base rule, our partner, Let’s Go Learn, and CEC do not share any student data with third-parties.  We adhere to FERPA and COPA requirements in terms of PII data (personal student data beyond directory level).  Below are some the three steps you can take:
  1. Sign a generalized data privacy agreement (DPA). It has already been signed by Let’s Go Learn and CEC and by signing it, it puts into place an agreement between all parties to adhere to data privacy and security.
  2. If signing an agreement is not possible, follow these rules outlined in this knowledge base article. It essentially outlines how not to enter in any PII data on students. This keeps you legally compliant without having to go through any legal process that may be prohibitive.
  3. If your organization has its own DPA, we can sign it. Email it to help@letsgolearn.com
Visit this knowledge base article to support #1 and #2 above.
